One of our most frequently asked questions when prospective franchise owners connect with us is “Do I need spa experience to own a Hand & Stone spa?” Our answer will always be no, spa experience is not necessary! We look for motivated individuals with a sales/management background who can train and motivate staff, make marketing decisions, manage financials, and be the face of their franchise.
Not only are you trained initially when opening your spa, but we make sure to keep our spa owners and managers up to date on the latest and greatest in massage therapy, skincare, and hair removal services. Our latest educational opportunity is a seven-part series – Esthetics for First Year Spa Owners! And no, you don’t need to be an esthetician to run a successful esthetics department!
Our esthetics services have grown substantially over the years; therefore, we want to make sure our first-time spa owners can hit the ground running with all the information they need to be successful in the skincare world. Esthetics for First Year Spa Owners covers everything you need to know from recruiting and retaining to inventory management.
But don't let the name fool you! Any new spa leader can benefit from these sessions, which have been updated with the latest best practices in esthetic leadership. Our very own Jaclyn Palmieri, Hand & Stone’s Esthetics Operations Manager, will be hosting each webinar and will be able to answer any questions you may have.
Jaclyn is an experienced esthetician who has been working in spa franchises since 2012. She has worn many different hats with us at Hand & Stone from spa associate, esthetician, social media marketing intern, corporate trainer and now as the Esthetic Operations Manager. She came to Hand & Stone in 2015 originally to have flexibility as an esthetician while attending college full-time to pursue her business marketing degree. She always knew she wanted her two passions to collide- skincare & business!
The series will run from May 18th- June 4th and recordings will be posted to our internal training channel.
